Valentine's Day for Him: DIY

I made Tim a small sentimental gift for Valentine's Day. Sometimes when you're on a budget, DIY is the best option. I filled a mason jar with some of Tim's favorite things (socks for him) and I made an "Alphabet of Our Love" booklet.
Things you'll need:
1. Mason Jar
2. Favorite things (socks)
3. Cardstock/gift tags,
4. Markers/colored pens
5. Ribbon
6. Candy (optional)

I rolled the socks and stuffed them into the jar and stuck the booklet on top, then filled the spaces with some Hershey's Kisses chocolate.

This gift doesn't have to be just for Valentine's either! You can make it for an anniversary, birthday, or just because (:

Date Night: Valentine's Day & OOTD

Last Friday was Valentine's Day and Tim took me out for dinner. I had work in the morning, then rushed to get ready to make it to dinner at 7. He took me to a steakhouse in Costa Mesa called Scott's and it was so good! It was our 4th Valentine's Day spent together and I had a fun time (: Tim is the best Valentine's Ever! He also bought me roses!

And here's a quick OOTD! I wanted to be simple but dressy. I paired this light pink ombre skirt from Brandy Melville with a black crop top from American Apparel to dress the skirt down. To add some edge, I wore these gladiator heels from DSW and I wore my quilted Marc Jacobs crossbody.

Btw, I changed my hair!! I'm in the process of getting an ombre and I have one more session to go!

Weekend Trip: Big Bear

So we went to Big Bear this last weekend, from February 7-10th! We went with Tim's family and stayed in a house in Big Bear Lake. It was fun to actually get away for a little bit to just enjoy nature and relax. Unfortunately, there was no snow ): But there was fake snow at some of the tubing areas and at the slopes! I actually went tubing for my first time and it was so scary.. Tim and I actually tumbled down a hill! Overall, it was a really fun trip and I hope we can go back soon! Here's some pictures (:

Date Night: The Grove

Hi guys! I know it's been a while since we last posted, but Tim & I have been sooo busy with school and work. I wanna update you on our last date night! We went out last Saturday, Feb. 1st, and we went to The Grove in LA. I mainly wanted to go because of Topshop lol.. I wanted to buy some of their ruffle socks. Tim & I ended up buying way more than socks. They had a big sale! It was 30% off their clearance and and extra student discount on top of that! We bought a lot of stuff and maybe we'll post a haul soon.

We ended up walking around too and we ate dinner at Umami Burger. The burger I got was called the Monte Cristo and it was a limited edition burger that was SO good. It had a french toast bun that kind of looked like funnel cake with powdered sugar on top. Inside it had bruschetta inside with the patty with vanilla custard. To top it all off, there was maple syrup on the side to dip it in. I know it sounds like a mouthful but believe me, IT WAS SO GOOD.
