Unboxing: Nasty Gal

My package came in the mail today! I ordered these rain boots from Nasty Gal and they were on clearance for $30.. such a good deal. I really bought these so that I could have shoes that I could wear at Big Bear next week, since they're waterproof. I wish it was actually raining right now in LA so I could use them out!

Cut It Out

Today, I stopped by the store where I work, Francesca's, to pick up these boots that I put on hold a few days ago. We recently got these boots in and right when I saw them I fell in love! The original price is $48 and they're by the brand, Vintage 93. I think it's a really good deal, especially how these look almost exactly like the Jeffrey Campbell white cutout boots! I'm so excited to pair these with some outfits (: If any of you ladies want these boots, stop by your nearest Francesca's before they're sold out!

Haulin': Part Deux

Still feeling the Levi's spirit everything in this haul is also from Levi's. I found a commuter series jacket that originally was sold for about $120 after the sale and additional percentage off I ended up getting it for about $38. While sifting through the rest of the outer wear I found a denim vest IN MY SIZE. The vest is originally $75 and I got it for $12. The last item from this haul is a mustard color beanie. It's originally $28 and I got it for $6. Unfortunately it's been hot in SoCal so I cannot wear the jacket or beanie, but I think I'll break in the vest sometime this week!

Haulin': Part 1

Shoes, shoes and more shoes! This is part one to our Santa Monica/back to school haul. By now you guys should know Marie and I love deals. We are major bargain hunters! I used to be hesitant when it came to buying boots mainly because I was lacking in confidence. Now I feel as though I'm kind of addicted to them....These two babies are the latest additions to my collection.

Both shoes were bought from Levi's...We love Levi's
Boots - $22.00
High Tops - $22.00
Total - $44.00

Thrift Sift: Gone Fishin'

Since I received some positive feedback for my previous thrift sift I thought I'd share another one. This is one of my favorite thrift items cause it's so nifty! Also sorry our haul video and post is taking so long. There aren't enough hours in a day to get all these things done! Do not fret we shall post it this week! Also the reason why this post is called "Gone Fishin'" is because the prints on the shirt consists of lures and fishes LOL

ALSO check out our YouTube www.youtube.com/user/TheTimarie
AND our Instagram in the sidebar!
Again I have to cuff the sleeves because they are so long.

The brand of the shirt is Woolrich.

OOTD: Pattern Mix

Lately in LA we've been having a very warm winter... today was 80 degrees! I decided to wear something comfortable and something that would keeping me cool without looking too "weather confused" lol. I kept my outfit simple with a plain t-shirt from Madewell with some beading on it and J Brand medium wash ankle jeans. To add some interest in my outfit, I wore Diane Von Furstenburg leopard printed flats and I finished everything off with a classic Louis Vuitton purse. I ended up feeling stylish and comfortable at the same time (:

We hit 1000!

Every morning we rush to the computer to check the blog and to our surprise we hit 1000 views! Honestly most people probably think it's no big deal but we think its amaaaaazing. So in honor of our 1000 views we decided to answer some FAQ.

1. How long have you two been together?
- We will have been together 3 years this April.
2. What are your majors in college?
- Marie is majoring in Merchandise Marketing and I am majoring in Fashion Merchandise Marketing and Design
3. What are your ethnic backgrounds?
- I am Cambodian and Chinese and Marie is Egyptian and Filipino.
4. How did you guys meet?
- We met through friends one day after Christmas shopping.
5. How old are you guys?
- Marie is 19 and I am (believe it or not) 20 about to turn 21.
6. Were you always a fashion major?
- Before Marie started college she was leaning more towards accounting, but after debating with herself for a few days she decided on Merchandise Marketing. I started of as a Biochem major with the intention of joining the Radiology program, but I later found out that the program was discontinued. Eventually after some persuasion my parents were on board with me changing majors as long as my grades were up.
7. What school do you guys go to?
- Marie goes to FIDM and I go to CSULB.

Those are most of the questions we get if you have anymore feel free to post them in the comment section!

And last but not least if you want to see haul, ootd, fashion tips, DIY, lifestyle videos and more check out our YouTube channel and subscribe! We are currently working on our Santa Monica haul and thrifting haul video right now. They will be up in the following week!

Date Night: Santa Monica Barney's Beanery

Marie and I went to the 3rd Street Promenade today to buy some clothes before school starts next week. We ended up with a pretty big haul. After hours of walking and shopping our bellies were grumbling. We stopped by Barney's Beanery and got WAY more than we bargained for.

She's so cute!

I was so excited to eat aha

I ordered a calzone and it was literally a foot long!

Marie ordered the chicken salad sandwich (one of the best we've had)

Sock 'em!

I was in DIRE need of socks. Whenever I do my laundry either someone secretly steals one side of my socks or I just somehow lose them. After a few loads of laundry I ended up with about 7 socks that weren't in pairs. I used this as excuse and managed to persuade Marie into going with me to Marshals to buy some socks!

Happy Socks make me happy haha

The bottom 3 were 3 for $6.99 so I couldn't pass it up!

Thrift Sift

The sleeve on the shirt was long so I had to cuff them

Not a perfect fitting shirt but it's not bad seeing as it was only $1
So a few days ago Marie and I went thrifting. Out of all of our items I only washed one LOL. I will post up an updated version as soon as we finish washing the clothes and pick up the rest from dry cleaning.

If you guys have any questions about where we go or anything feel free to leave a comment! (:

SOTD : Shoes Of The Day

Tim thought the shoes looked nice on the carpet aha

After wearing them a day I already got them a little dirty..

Going back to the old school classic Vans checker board slip-ons! I just bought them yesterday after days of contemplating if I should buy them... so I caved.

Earth...Urth

After our exhausting walk through the concert hall we decided to fuel ourselves at Urth Cafe in downtown LA. We ended up ordering too much food and ended up having a food coma lol. Overall it was a pretty good day!

Disney Concert Hall

About a week ago we visited the Disney Concert Hall in LA with our friend, Julius. We didn't expect much from it, we were just curious to see the structure and take some pictures. The building is actually really interesting. When you walk to the top level there's a nice little garden and sometimes you may even run into a couple of wedding photo shoots!

Helping Hands for Haiyan

Dana and I (Marie)
The sign that we worked so hard on!
Recently, we helped our friend, Dana, put together a benefit concert for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. We were able to fill up a majority of the seats and raise a good amount of money. We're so proud of her, all of her planning and scheduling paid off. It's quite remarkable how a tragedy can bring so many strangers together in order to help out those in need. Here is a video of our friends' performance.
